Hi, my name is Charley and I am that “Old Dog” pictured playing the sax. I have been playing the saxophone since the age of 10 and professionally for the last 30 years.
Over the years I have had the distinct pleasure and honor of performing at venues throughout New York - including Birdland - with jazz greats such as Ted Brown, Connie Crothers, Virg Dzurinko, Kazzrie Jaxen, Roger Mancuso and Ratzo Harris.
In 2017, I took my love for saxophones to a different level by founding the musical instrument company Old Dog New Saxophones.
My company is passionate about sourcing and selling only the finest quality saxophones available - saxophones that match our personal criteria for sound, craftsmanship, and reliability. Our GTSax model saxophones are Hand Crafted by the Gu Tai Company of Taiwan. This company is an established saxophone manufacturer for over 30 years and is well-known for its excellent sound quality and craftsmanship.
The saxophone body is hand-hammered by skilled craftsmen over 500 times in order to produce an excellent timbre.
Expert-level engineers carefully adjust, inspect, and test every saxophone we sell to ensure that customers receive the finest instruments available.
